Authenticate without box or receipt: what you need

12 June 2026 · 5 min read

Receipts and boxes help context but are not proof alone. Reviewers assess the item — here is what to submit instead.

Many legitimate second-hand purchases lack original packaging. Authentication focuses on the item's construction and branding via our checklist — not whether a dust bag looks convincing.

Minimum photo set

  • Front, back and base of the item
  • Brand stamps, serials or date codes
  • Hardware close-ups
  • Interior lining and pockets
  • Any defects or repairs visible
